A horse of an old merry-go-round
Sleeps, on the ground. Dreaming of his time fastened down.
The light of an old video store.
Blinks seven more times slower than the year before.
Old man wanting aluminum cans, looks with his hands.
Gets a penny for all his troubles.
Young dog itchin’ fleas. Day is uneventful.
10 fleas ridin’ dog. Day is a lifetime.
To lay on the roof. One summer evening
A streak in the night. (10 million years old.)
A boy counting his syllables
out loud, is in love, writes a poem for girl above.
A clock’s minute hand fell on the floor.
When the heavy door closes. Hours pass. People bored.
The wind blowing hot sand in the eyes.
Of a desert man caused him to get lost in the sand dunes.
The curtain closes. Seats are all taken.
The curtain opens. The crowd is absent.
To lay on the roof. One winter evening.
Just wasn’t quite right.
We landed on a planet that’s red. Cold. Made of rust.
Lonely robots now pick up dust.
The salt water is rising these days..
The sky is falling down. Falling….
